NY based artist, Kaia Peterka, focuses on the tension between the surface and what's beneath, destruction and survival, and the nature of becoming.

She works with layers of paint and texture, sometimes hinting at but obscuring what came before. Her process and work reflect the complexity and ephemerality of identity and truth.
